2023 Field of Honor

Location: Automated Conveyor Systems (ACS) 6 Millrace Drive, Lynchburg, Virginia

The 2023 Field of Honor is the sixth consecutive year that the Rotary Club of Forest will honor our Veterans, Active Duty Military, First Responders, Firefighters, Police Officers, EMTs, Health Care Workers, and those that have made the Ultimate Sacrifice.

Of special note, our guests of honor this year will be our Vietnam Veterans. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Operation Homecoming — the departure of US Troops from Vietnam and the release of the final group of POWs from Hanoi in 1973.

The display is free and open to the public.

SCHEDULE:

Opening Ceremony: Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 4pm

The Patriots BBQ:    Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 5pm - 7pm (ticketed event)

9/11 Ceremony: Monday, September 11, 2023 at 6:30pm

Flag Pickup: Friday, September 22, 2023 from 4pm - 7pm, and Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 9am - Noon
